Oneness is not Sameness
— Dr. Deborah Gordon
“To love God and to love our neighbour as ourselves means to see God in everything and to include everyone in one divine unity.”
— Ernest Holmes
As we acknowledge Pride Week, Dr. Deborah Gordon will share her thoughts about living together in community, a community of Oneness, but a community where oneness does not mean sameness. Let’s explore some of how our belief systems either create our brilliant futures or keep us captive in negativity and fear.
Join Dr. Deborah and the rest of the Sunday Six on October 24 at 10:30am on Facebook Live.
Tune in early at 10:20am to hear the music of New Thought musicians Barbara Samuel and Neal Klassen.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme
Dig Deep
To become the spiritual beings that we truly are, we put spirituality first.
Each of us creates a new sense of self which is free from judgement and criticism of ourselves and others. As a community, we courageously encourage speech and actions that cherish diversity and the Divinity in all. We take actions that recognize the strength of people working together to create a world that works for everyone.
We renew individual and collective minds to truly see the best in everyone and every condition. We achieve this by focusing on and being grateful for all that empowers ourselves and others. We release with ease all that weakens our vision of a better world. We take action to form an ever-expanding community of like-minded individuals committed to raising their own consciousness and the consciousness of all.
Seeing the different faces of the Divine in one another takes a willingness to be open to new ways of seeing and being to bring about positive change. We cultivate new ways of listening to others and to that quiet voice within. We bring this expanded consciousness to our thoughts, discussions and actions in all areas of life — political, corporate, academic and social. We support organizations and structures that evidence this emerging global consciousness with our time, talents, and finances.
We are united with God and connected with each other. Every person’s Inner Wisdom knows this Truth. We are called to get our bloated nothingness out of the way and allow the divine currents of Truth to move in us, as us, and through us. We work for a world where lack and limitation no longer exist; where shelter, food, and physical needs are met. We act to ensure peace and freedom for all. We make these goals real through our collective, deepening consciousness of our humanity and by building a global community of spiritual beings living in harmony.
Visioning Session #1
We would love for YOU to join us as we consciously move into our times of newness here at the Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna. Our first step into this is to host a series of Visioning Sessions on Zoom. We encourage you to join us and to capture your highest version of Spirit’s vision for our community. The first of these sessions is THIS SUNDAY, October 24 at 1pm. Dr. Deborah is leading this first session and would love to see you there!
Visioning is a process developed by Michael Beckwith to create a realization of our greater yet to be. It’s not visualization; it’s a process to assist us in getting in touch with what’s alive at the higher levels of our spiritual potential.
Visioning is really spiritual brainstorming. It’s fun and easy. We’d love to have your participation.
