The facilitator of this book discussion, Amanda Pope, read this powerful book over a year ago. “Since then, I have been looking forward to the opportunity to discuss it with others in a safe and accepting space. In this book discussion group, I am excited to create that space where we can share and explore what it means to practice radical self-love. We all have bodies, and many of us have complicated relationships with them. Join me as we dive into exploring the ways in which society’s view of physical bodies has the power to impact our life experience, and how we can also free ourselves by practicing self-love.”
“The common issue of body shaming is thoughtfully and empathetically explored here, as is the importance of changing the messages people receive about their bodies from negative to positive for future generations.”
— Publisher weekly
“We all deserve to live our lives as our full selves, in all of our true beauty. I hope that you take a leap of faith in your own divinity and dive into the pages of this book with gusto. You will surely be rewarded.”
— Ijeoma Oluo, Foreword, The Body is Not an Apology
