The Blessings of Gratitude
— The Sunday Six
“Good may rest today upon your gratitude, For he who gives thanks before the wine Is pressed from grapes still clinging to the vine Has shown a faith above, beyond the present hour And his thanksgiving holds the future flower…”
— Ernest and Fenwicke Holmes from The Voice Celestial
There are various types of gratitude, one of which is the gratitude we have when we recognize something desirable that has come to us.
This kind of thankfulness is relatable and it’s powerful. It’s not a small or trivial thing to acknowledge that we’ve been graced with something that has blessed us.
When we’re steeped in the feeling of gratitude, especially very conscious thanksgiving, our hearts feel open. We feel connected, alive, awake and aware; we really feel connected to something greater, something awesome and powerful.
For more on this topic, join us this Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 10:30am on Facebook Live. We’ll be filming live on location in beautiful Kaleden, BC.
This Week’s Point of View from the Science of Mind
We are inseparable from God. The one bridge that links all of life together is the Divine Intelligence that is back of all things. It is in our nature to be in community, to feel connected and to establish a sense of belonging.
God is where we are, who we are, no matter what. There is no beginning and no end. Each of us is God showing up just as we are. Divine Intelligence continues to flow no matter what is happening in our lives.
We are never alone. Our Oneness with Spirit is inextricably connected to everyone else’s awakening.

MIND-FULL MOMENT
“Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse.”
