Singing with Gratitude
Gratitude is one of the most fundamental spiritual practices in our teaching. Let’s take a deep look at this practice – and how it fits into our understanding of affirmative prayer.
When we are actively engaged in our prayer work, we are knowing the truth for ourselves or for others. Our goal as we have been learning is that we need to declare the truth with conviction. We benefit immensely from this important third step of treatment, when we implement the fourth step – by expressing gratitude.
Our attitude to gratitude is a vital part of our experience with life. A grateful heart appreciates all the good that flows, and in so doing creates an open vessel for more good to flow in.
Seeing through the fog
Last Sunday, January 15, was supposed to be a Soul Food Sunday, but Rev. Barbara Samuel and Neal Klassen were unable to fly back to Kelowna due to fog in Vancouver. Fortunately, our assistant minister, Rev. Corinne Crockett, pulled together a brilliant talk titled Our Internal Song.

We are entering into our annual membership drive at the Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna. Every year, you have the ability to consciously choose to belong to this spiritual community, whether this is your first year or your 30th.
Now, more than ever, your membership matters. Our beloved community has big decisions to make over the next year, and the Board of Trustees needs your input.
Membership gives you the opportunity to contribute to and be involved in key Centre initiatives. Membership gives you a vote at the AGM, as well as when the time comes to choose our next spiritual director(s).

The time has come once again for us to hold our annual business meeting where we review the business affairs of the last year, thank our hardworking Board, and welcome in the new. Join us as we vote in our Board members. This is an open meeting and everyone is welcome to attend; however, you must be officially signed up and registered as a 2023 member to vote.
The Annual General Meeting of the Centre for the Spiritual Living Kelowna Society takes place on February 26, 2023 at 2pm on Zoom.
This year, more than ever, your voice matters as we engage in the work of expanding and re-engaging as a spiritual community. We would love to see you at this meeting!
