Christ-mass, our True Divine Nature

Christ-mass, our True Divine Nature

Dr. Deborah Gordon

“To recognize the Christ in us – is to realize within, a Divine Presence, a perfect Person, an inner undying reality. As the human embodies the Divine, it manifests the Christ Nature.

Note from Dr. Deborah Gordon’s original Science of Mind text book

Given that we're a transdenominational teaching, outside of the traditional expression of Christianity, do you ever wonder how to make sense of Christ-mass? This Sunday, Dr. Deborah Gordon gives us a Science of Mind point of view on the meaning behind this holiday time of year.

Join Dr. Deborah and the rest of the Sunday Six on December 12th, 2021 at 10:30am on Facebook Live.

Tune in early at 10:20am to hear the music of New Thought musician, Nathen Aswell.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

The Joy of Becoming

When learning a new skill or undertaking an adventure, a critical step is sitting at the plateau to assimilate and integrate our experiences before finding “what’s next”. It is a time for knowing we still stand on the shoulders of those who came before; we are their dreams fulfilled.

There is only ever one thing happening — the expression of God in this moment. As we have journeyed through the year and begin to consider the next year ahead, we take a moment to sit in the stillness of God becoming this moment, this time, and this expression.

God pours Itself through all creation, using Itself as both the putty and the sculpture. Like reaching the top of the rollercoaster, we’re setting up for the next adventure. This moment is a necessary part of the unfolding of the Divine, so take a moment to really drink it up and marinate in the all-pervasiveness of God right here, right now.

Be still and know. In the stillness, we are allowing the joyful song and life of God to shine through ourselves. We arrive at the heaven within, the delight of God unfurling Itself as you and beginning to blossom Itself into the following moment, day, year, and experience. Each of us has the power and potential to awaken to the True Nature of God-in-us, and as we pause at the end of one cycle before diving into the next, let us invite the awareness of this Truth.

MIND-FULL MOMENT

We are not becoming this Life, but are now in and of this Life. There is no other Life. God is not becoming; God IS. God is not growing; God is complete. God is not trying to find out something; God already knows.
