Celebration of Light… Lite!

Celebration of Light… Lite!

Dr. Deborah Gordon and friends

“Welcome Christmas while we stand, heart to heart, and hand in hand!

Dr. Seuss

Christmas is such a joyous time of year. For many, the holidays bring back memories of family, food, fun and music. Hearing certain songs can cue specific memories in people. What was playing while you opened gifts on the morning of your most memorable Christmas long ago? Not only does music give us that nostalgic feeling, the lyrics of the songs often resonate with us and remind us of another time.

We are excited to be in community, both in-person and on livestream, for our Celebration of Light… Lite this Sunday! We will have an inspirational message of love, along with seasonal music to lift your hearts!

Join Dr. Deborah and friends on December 19th, 2021 at 10:30am at the Innovation Centre (if you have pre-registered) and/or on Facebook Live.

Tune in early at 10:20am on Facebook Live to hear the music of New Thought musician, Gary Lynn Floyd.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

The Gift of a New Journey

Life is Infinite, eternal, and forever expanding. We can start anew in every moment. We can use the creative process to create the life we desire and become that which we think most about.

Ernest Holmes said that our past is not bound by precedent. We have the power within us to change our thinking and our viewpoint about any situation. It is through our active practice of affirmative prayer that we can move our consciousness to accept that which is a new perspective demonstrating whatever we seek to experience and see in form.

When we decide to no longer be held down by our past, by limiting beliefs and old paradigms, we create space for new ideas, new opportunities, and a new way of being in the world. As we approach a new year, think about engaging your life with a fresh, new, beginner’s mind, envisioning what might be possible.

Now is the time to expand and develop your gifts. Put them into full expression with excitement, vigour and hope. The world needs what you have to offer. As we go into the new year, we can use these teachings to transform our viewpoint to create harmony and peace in our lives.

Holidays

The Sunday Six will be taking some time for family and festivities over the holidays. We will not have a livestream service on December 26th. We invite you to check out our YouTube channel to re-watch your favourite livestream service that morning. There will also be no Community Chat on the 26th. We will be back for a special New Year livestream service on January 2nd.

We are also very excited to announce that Rev. Christy Snow will be joining us to provide music and meditation to help us step into 2022 with intention.

Start 2022 by attending a World Healing Peace Meditation on New Year's Eve. John Randolph Price started this event in 1986. People all over the world create a collective meditation for healing the world at noon Greenwich Mean Time (4am PST) on December 31st, 2021. Our community has often gathered at the Peace Centre in the wee hours of the morning to participate in this global meditation. This year, you can participate virtually with CSL people all over the world. The CSL Global Services Heart of Peace Initiative will offer a peace meditation for all to join live on the CSL Facebook page.
