MERRY DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS DAY… Christmas Day has come and gone, but there are still gifts to be had.  Next Sunday, December 29th , Rev’s John DePalma and Corinne Crockett leads a White Stone Ceremony, a ritual for spiritual renewal.  And our special musical guest is Tanya Lipscomb.  Enjoy our last service of 2024, as we move into the New Year, Transforming Lives in 2025!

Sunday, December 29th

Rev. John DePalma & Rev. Corinne Crockett

Transforming Lives in 2025!

White Stone Ceremony

Let this Sunday’s White Stone Ceremony set the foundation for your most inspired year yet!

The White Stone Ceremony is a powerful, transformative ritual to consciously step into the New Year. Rooted in ancient traditions, this ceremony symbolizes release, renewal, and intention-setting.

Rev. John and Rev. Corinne will lead us as we consciously release past limitations by writing them on dissolvable paper and adopt a "new name" or guiding intention, inspired by meditation and Divine connection, which we’ll inscribe on a white stone to take home as a reminder.

This ritual is an opportunity for spiritual renewal, aligning with joy, success, and the potential of new beginnings, as we intentionally welcome a fresh start and a higher expression of their life’s purpose.

Join us in a heartfelt community as we embark on this transformative journey together, supported by Spirit and Divine Love. Begin your New Year reborn, renewed, and ready to live your highest potential.

On-line Attendees: Have two pieces of paper and a pen handy to participate fully in this powerful ceremony.  While not necessary, having your own white stone to write on would be lovely.

Sunday Service takes place at Studio 9 (1180 Houghton Rd, Kelowna, BC V1X 2C9). Doors open at 10:15 am. Enter the building by the side entrance behind the staff parking lot. Look for our signs to guide you! Please use street parking or park at Ben Lee Park (1.5 blocks away).

Or you can always watch our live stream on Facebook Live via Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna's Facebook page.

After the service, you can find all talks on our YouTube channel.

LAST WEEK'S SERVICE

The Incredible Light of Your Being

Rev. Corinne Crockett

December 22, 2024

Light is an attribute of Spirit, the Divine essence, and intelligence that animates us all. Ernest Holmes reminds us that, “We are light, and in that light, there is no darkness. This is the Light that lightens every person’s pathway.” (SOM 366.2)

Last Sunday, Rev. Corinne Crockett helped us to step through the thin veil of limiting belief and stoke the flame of the Light within us, letting it blaze ever brighter.

Next Sunday

Special Guest Musicians

Tanya Lipscomb

Everyone’s favorite bundle of energy is back as a special musical guest on Sunday, December 29. The bio section of her website describes her best: “Her spicy stage presence is marked with exuberance and excitement, her playing and rhythm is consistently solid and her 3-octave voice sways from rich, deep and powerful, to soft, subtle and sensuous.”

Her song “Revolutionary” is this week’s Inspirational Song of the Week.  Check it out below.

VISION BOARD WORKSHOP

with Rev. Melody Bailey

Start the New Year with a New Vision

Sunday, January 5th, after service until approximately 3:00 pm

DO YOU WANT TO CREATE THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE? Do you want to let your inner child out and have some crafty, intentional fun?

If so, join us for a Vision Board Workshop where we will focus on all four quadrants of life: Creativity (work, play); Health (spiritual, mental, emotional, physical); Loving Relationships and Abundance.

Supplies will be provided but if you have specific pictures cut out from magazines or printed that you wish to bring with you and include, please do so.

The workshop is on Sunday January 5th following our Sunday service, from approximately 12 noon until 3 pm.  If you’re staying after service, please bring a lunch that doesn’t require extra preparation.

We will take some time for a bite to eat before beginning the workshop.  There will be a sign-up sheet at Sunday service and an RSVP on our website as we do need to know numbers to prepare.

Invitation: Okanagan Multi-Faith Assembly

Upcoming Opportunities in 2025

"So powerful is the Light of Unity that it can illuminate the whole world." ~ Bahá’u’lláh

In this sometimes-divisive world, learning from one another and standing together as Communities of Faith is powerful.

The first four assemblies have been deeply enriching, demonstrating, at the heart of it, how much faith communities have in common. The intention of these gatherings is to learn more about the diverse faith traditions who call the Okanagan home.

Our Multi-Faith connection and learning continues in the New Year!

We hope you join us for these enriching opportunities:

Buddhist Community Gathering

Date: Saturday, January 11th, 2025

Baha’i Community Presentation (Repeat Session)

Date: Saturday, February 15th, 2025

During these gatherings, you’ll experience:

  • A 30-minute presentation

  • An opportunity for questions and answers

  • A social period with beverages and desserts

These events typically conclude in under two hours.

If you’re interested in attending, please contact Rev. Corinne Crockett at corinne_crockett@telus.net for further details.
