Or, WATCH US ON

Next Sunday

With Rev. Corinne Crockett

Have you ever felt like there’s more to this life—something invisible, powerful, and wise flowing through everything? You’re not imagining it. You're feeling the Force!

Join us this Sunday as Rev. Corinne takes us on a joyful adventure across galaxies, both inner and outer, as we discover what Star Wars, Science of Mind, and modern quantum science all have in common:

“Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.” — Yoda

We'll discover how your mind and feelings are your lightsabers, your beliefs the Force, and Divine Law the ever-faithful operating system responding to every input.

Whether you're a seasoned spiritual practitioner or just Jedi-curious, you’ll leave this experience knowing:

  • Come awaken the mystic coder within you.

  • The Force is real—and it’s responding to you, always.

  • Learn to wield your own inner lightsaber—your focus.

  • Realize that the Force isn’t out there—it’s you, in alignment.

  • You’re not just living in the Universe – you’re helping to program it.

Love is the Light Side—and it always wins.

Through the lens of Science of Mind, you’ll see how Jedi wisdom mirrors metaphysical truth taught by Ernest Holmes:

“There is a power in the Universe greater than you are, and you can use it.”

Whether you’re a long-time truth-seeker or a curious Padawan, come ready to laugh, reflect, and remember who you truly are.

Together, we'll explore how belief shapes reality, how modern science is catching up with ancient wisdom, and how YOU are the luminous being you've been waiting for.

You don’t need a lightsaber (but you might feel like you have one afterward).

The galaxy (and your life) awaits.

Join us at Studio 9 (1180 Houghton Rd, Kelowna, BC). Doors open at 10:15 am. Enter the property by the side entrance behind the staff parking lot. Look for our signs to guide you! Please use street parking or park at Ben Lee Park (1.5 blocks away).

Or you can always watch our live stream on Facebook Live via Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna's Facebook page.

Last Sunday

Last week was a Soul Food Sunday - an invitation to use your voice as an instrument of healing and transformation. When we speak our truth, we step into wholeness—we align with the Divine, allowing Spirit to express through us.

Rev. Barbara invited us to explore the transformative power of our voices. Together, we discovered how breaking the chains of silence can bring personal empowerment and collective healing.

Invitation: Okanagan Multi-Faith Assembly

Deepen Your Understanding. Expand Your Heart.

We are delighted to offer another beautiful opportunity to come together in the spirit of learning, connection, and mutual respect. In the truest spirit of Multi-Faith collaboration, Rev. Corinne has been invited to offer the opening prayer for our next Multi-Faith gathering on May 10th.

At a time when our world so deeply needs bridges of understanding, participating in Multi-Faith learning is an act of hope, compassion, and unity. Each tradition offers a glimpse into the universal truths that bind us all—and reminds us that while our languages of prayer may differ, the spirit behind them is one.

Only two presentations remain in this inspiring series—don’t miss the chance to be part of it!

Next Gathering:

Hosted by: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Community

Date: Saturday, May 10th

During this gathering, you’ll experience:

  • A heartfelt 30-minute presentation sharing insights into the Mormon faith tradition

  • An opportunity for meaningful questions and answers

  • A warm social period with beverages and desserts

These events are designed to be welcoming, enriching, and respectful—and typically conclude in under two hours.

When we listen deeply to one another, we weave the fabric of peace and understanding.

We invite you to be part of this sacred weaving.

Interested in attending? Please contact Rev. Corinne at corinne_crockett@telus.net for further details.

How Luke Skywalker Channeled Ernest Holmes

Next Sunday is May 4th, triggering the old Star Wars pun, “May the 4th be with you.”  In Star Wars, the Force is a mystical energy field that binds all living things, offering power through harmony, awareness, and intention. Jedi and Sith harness it based on their beliefs and emotional alignment—either for peace or domination.

This concept closely parallels Ernest Holmes’ The Science of Mind, which teaches that the universe is governed by a universal Mind responding to thought. Just as the Force responds to belief and focus, Holmes’ philosophy suggests that consciousness shapes reality.

Both emphasize inner alignment—peace, clarity, and purpose—as the key to accessing greater power. In Holmes' terms, our thoughts become things, much like how Jedi influence the world through mindful connection to the Force.

Ultimately, both systems stress the importance of spiritual awareness and responsible use of power, urging individuals to live in harmony with universal principles rather than resist them. The Force, like Mind, is always present — waiting to be consciously directed.

So, if you’re skeptical about the saying, “Change your thinking, change your life,” just remember Darth Vader turned out to be a good guy in the end!

LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER

Commit to your Spiritual Journey: Awakening through Practice

With Rev. Bobbi Becker via Zoom!

Last Day for Registration: May 5th

Commit to your Spiritual Journey: Awakening through Practice

The first meeting was last Tuesday, but you can still join without falling too far behind. The cutoff date for registration is Monday, May 5th.

This course is your VIP pass to Presence, Oneness, Creativity, and Abundance—minus the kale smoothie (though we won't stop you from sipping one)

By blending the life-changing insights of The Untethered Soul and Living the Science of Mind, we’ll guide you in breaking up with those pesky inner obstacles and stepping into that unstoppable “YES!” energy.

Expect reflective readings, guided meditations, group dialogue, and straight-up real talk that actually sticks in your everyday life (because spiritual epiphanies are only good if you can use them while stuck in traffic).

The course is held via Zoom on Tuesday nights (6:30-8:30) until May 27th.

Investment: $160 CAD

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Pride 2025 Is Around the Corner — And We’re So Excited to Be Part of It!

We’ve been granted a booth at this year’s Pride Festival on Saturday, May 31st—and we’d love for you to be part of the celebration.

These are important times to stand visibly and lovingly with the 2SLGBTQI+ community as beloved members of our human family continue to affirm their truth: that their lives matter, their wellbeing matters, and their right to thrive in justice, joy, and belonging is sacred.

Pride is more than a festival—it’s a celebration of authenticity, resilience, and radical self-love. It’s also a call to each of us to expand our hearts and deepen our understanding. As a spiritual community, this is a beautiful opportunity to walk our talk.

As Centers for Spiritual Living affirms: “We believe the ultimate goal of life to be complete freedom from all discord of every nature—and that this goal is sure to be attained by all.”

Let us show up as love in action.

TWO WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

1.     Join the Joy: Pride Prep Parties – Appy Potluck Evenings!

Pride Prep Potluck Evenings

Studio 9 – 1180 Houghton Road, Wednesdays: April 30, May 7, and May 14 — from 6:00 to 8:30 PM

We’re gathering for fun-filled evenings to prepare handmade giveaways for the Pride booth—cooling neck wraps, bookmarks, and other small treasures to share with festival goers. No crafting skills required—just your presence, your willingness to connect, and maybe your favourite appie to share!

** Note: Please use street parking, as parking lot is booked for these evenings.

2.    Volunteer at the Festival!

On Saturday, May 31st, we’ll need helping hearts at our booth throughout the day.Two-hour shifts are available between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM—and trust us, it’s such a joyful experience, you’ll leave with a full heart and likely a few hugs.

Whether you want to help prep, be at the booth, or just cheer us on, your presence makes a difference.

The Festival runs from 11:00-3:00, so these times are inclusive of set-up and tear-down.
