"AND WHEN YOU GET THE CHANCE TO SIT IT OUT OR DANCE…. I hope you dance!" These wise words from country singer Lee Ann Womack remind us to not hang on to past trauma and past pains - to look to the future with hope and anticipation rather than fear and dread. This Sunday Rev. Barbara Samuel asks us to rise up and dance. Don’t sit this one out. Join us on Sunday for Rev. Barb’s inspirational talk and Neal’s Science Corner.
Sunday, November 24
Rise Up and Dance
With Rev. Barbara Samuel
10:30-11:30
This world is full and glorious. All of it is calling for us to be more than we have previously embraced. All of it is calling us to dance, shine and live out loud with purpose!
“The universe operates through dynamic exchange… giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.”
~Deepak Chopra
We can look around us and notice the abundance of nature, but how often do we truly look within and witness the magnitude of abundance that is present? Gratitude is its own magic and a key to expanding our Abundance Consciousness.
Resting in the knowing of abundance within and without elicits a profound sense of satisfaction and peace. When we acknowledge the good that we have, realize that it is who we are, then dancing, sharing and living with purpose will occur.
There is no limitation in God. Science of Mind reminds us of the prolific nature of Life Itself. The fullness of Life is right where we are and who we are, and yet we often forget to take notice of the abundance of the world around us.
Join us at Studio 9 (1180 Houghton Rd, Kelowna, BC V1X 2C9). Doors open at 10:15am. Enter the building by the side entrance behind the staff parking lot. Look for our signs to guide you! Please use street parking or park at Ben Lee Park (1.5 blocks away).

Last Sunday's Talk
THE FOURTH AGREEMENT
Rev. John DePalma
Last Sunday, Rev. John wound up the four-part series of the Four Agreements with a two-hour workshop on why you should “Always Do Your Best.”
These workshops have been well attended and well received. Last Sunday the auditorium was packed for this informative, inspiring, and interactive workshop.
Here are some “pearls of wisdom” from last Sunday’s workshop:
Our best is never going to be the same from one moment to the next; it fluctuates depending on how we’re feeling.
Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
The first step to internal change: move to a place of serenity. Accept that we can always do something different.
Take action; how can we do our best if we don’t take action?
To review, here are the Four Agreements:
Be Impeccable with Your Word.
Don't Take Anything Personally.
Don't Make Assumptions.
Always Do Your Best.

Monday Night Book Study Continues
With Rev. John DePalma
Continues November 25, 6:30-8:00 pm
Discover the Power of the Beloved Community!
Our Monday book study has evolved into something truly special—a space for “juicy” conversations filled with depth, connection, and inspiration! What began as a 10-week journey has blossomed into an ongoing exploration of Jim Lockards's transformative ideas.
We’re having so much fun (and profound dialogue) that we’re continuing until we finish the book!
Next Monday (Week 12): Chapter 8 - Safe Space
"If we want to create spaces that are safe for the soul, we need to understand why the soul so rarely shows up in everyday life."
— Parker Palmer
In this chapter, we’ll explore the concept of “safe space” in a spiritual context. It's not just about avoiding discomfort but about fostering an environment where deep spiritual and psychological transformation can occur within a supportive, loving community.
Join the Conversation:
We’ll dive into what it takes to create these transformative spaces in our own communities and explore how we can become the fullest expressions of who we’re meant to be.
Don’t worry if you haven’t joined us yet—there’s still time! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re catching up or diving in for the first time. To get the most out of the discussion, we encourage you to read the Introduction and Chapters 1 through 8.
Here’s How to Join:
When: Monday, November 25, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Where: Online, via Zoom. Click the link below
Tips for Engagement
- Make sure your name and video are on—it helps us build connections!
- Use the “raise your hand” icon or chat to share your thoughts.
Together, we’re dismantling old ways of thinking and embracing a whole-body, integral spirituality. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something inspiring and transformative!
We can’t wait to see you Monday night!
If you don’t have the book, you can join anyway, but your experience of these sessions will be enhanced through reading the book.
This book is available in paper-back or kindle version at amazon.ca.
Okanagan Multi-Faith Assembly
“So powerful is the Light of Unity that it can illuminate the whole world.”
~ Bahá’u’lláh
This quote used in creating our Sacred Covenant was made manifest in the life of our Centre again last week, as 15 members of our Beloved Community, CSL Kelowna, joined with many other faiths to learn more about Sikhism, its history, teachings, and traditions.
CSL Kelowna is a foundational member of the Okanagan Multi-Faith Community. The intention of the Okanagan Multi-Faith Committee is to gather with the purpose of promoting understanding, brotherhood, and support between faiths.
This third gathering hosted by the Sikh community at the Sikh Gurdwara on Rutland Road was extremely informative and appreciated. Amarjit Singh Lali offered a phenomenal presentation of his faith and community, followed by some very interactive and excellent questions from those attending. And what a great and delicious feast that followed in the dining hall!
United in Faith is truly coming out at these events; the more of these that we attend, we are convinced that we share many more similarities than differences. The first two assemblies, hosted by the Jewish and the Baha’i Communities were enriching and informative.
The fourth (December) assembly is being hosted by the Central Okanagan United Church in the afternoon of Sunday, December 8th.
Contact Rev. Corinne Crockett (corinne_crockett@telus.net) for details if you are interested in attending.
In this sometimes-divisive world, standing together as Communities of Faith is powerful.

Rumor has it that Santa’s Elves are working hard putting together this year’s Celebration of Light. Rudolph took over management of the music, and he put together a band made up of members from the Island of Misfit Toys.
We have been busy creating a wish list for Santa that will be delivered in the form of wonderful music and an Inspirational talk, sure to lift your Spirits!
Mark your Calendar: Monday, December 16th, 7:00 p.m. at the Mary Irwin Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts (RCA). Bring a friend. Bring two friends. And bring a non-perishable food item for the Kelowna Food Bank. Let’s fill the place with love.
