It’s March 1st, and I’m sure enjoying what seems to be a shift into a more spring-like feeling! I think that no matter where you are geographically, rather than really being about the weather, it feels more like a shift in an inner attitude or feeling. For those of us in the northern hemisphere, there’s also more light coming into our waking world than previously, and more light is always a good thing!
That’s more about the external light. What about our sense of our inner light?
For a moment, I want you to take a pause, and go within and consider what would bring you a sense of joy, of inner peace, right here and now. Take a moment to think a thought of spaciousness and happiness and bring it into your heart. Take a moment of time just to be here in this place (and breathe).
I had a wonderful conversation with a friend and colleague this morning, and she said: “Sometimes I think people wonder about me and my ability to make a choice to lean toward happiness at every opportunity I can. I’m not being Pollyanna, or maybe I am, but I am so convinced on an inner level that it is a choice, my choice. Why would I ever not choose it?”
I’ve been mulling that over all morning, and with that in my mind, wouldn’t you know I came across the best quote that supports that idea.

I want to pass along the news that one of our community members, Bill Hannah passed away this week. I’ve been in touch with his wife of 59 years, Doreen. She’s doing fine, and is as optimistic as ever. (If you know Doreen, you’ll know what I mean.) Bless Bill on his journey.
