Volunteers Needed for the Walk of Memories

Sunday, September 13 | Kelowna Waterfront Park

One of the greatest gifts we can offer another human being is simply our presence.

The Walk of Memories is a gentle, interactive community event that welcomes people who are grieving losses of any kind. Whether someone is remembering a loved one, navigating a significant life change, or carrying a quieter, unseen grief, this afternoon offers a safe and compassionate space to remember, reflect, and heal.

We are currently seeking caring volunteers to help create this meaningful experience.

No special expertise is required—only a compassionate heart and a willingness to be present. Volunteers will welcome participants, offer gentle direction along the walk, assist at activity stations, help with set-up or clean-up, and most importantly, provide the simple gift of witnessing another person's story with kindness and respect.

As we often say, we do not need to have answers. Our caring presence is enough.

The event is supported by volunteers from the Okanagan Multi-Faith Assembly, the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, and many other community partners who share a commitment to ensuring no one has to walk through grief alone.

If you feel called to make a meaningful difference in someone's life, we would love to have you join us.
