I’ve just returned from the CSL 2025 SOAR Summer Retreat in beautiful Banff, where 10 of us from CSL Kelowna joined Religious Scientists from around the world for what was, without question, the most powerful retreat I’ve ever attended. I wasn’t alone in that feeling—many others shared the same deep sense of awe and transformation!
For over 50 years, summer retreats have been a cherished tradition in our movement. In 2017, these gatherings were reimagined, and SOAR was born—a biennial late-summer event that has since been hosted in breathtaking locations around the globe. No matter where we meet, the heart connection remains timeless.
This year’s experience began with a two-day Ministers’ Gathering, a precious time of inspiration, learning, and connection with Ministers from around the world. From there, the retreat unfolded like a perfectly crafted spiritual journey—rich with wisdom-filled speakers, heart-opening ceremonies, experiential workshops, and music that lifted our souls to new heights.
Amy Bishop and her band, Elevation from CSL Calgary, along with the luminous Martin Kerr, filled the air with music that was joyous, transformative, and sacred, perfectly matching the theme of each session.
Every moment felt intentionally designed to guide us deeper into our own Hero’s Journey—a path of revelation, restoration, and grace. I return home feeling nourished, inspired, and profoundly grateful for the experience.
And as wonderful as it was to be there… it’s good to be home.
Love & Blessings,
Rev. Corinne
