A warm welcome can make all the difference

We’re looking for a few more welcoming faces to join our Sunday Greeter team and our Brew Crew coffee service team.

There’s something special about volunteering. It’s the simple act of showing up, lending a hand, and saying, “I can help with that."  Volunteering reminds us that we all have something to give - our time, our talents, our kindness, or simply a willing pair of hands. 

Rosabelle Daugela, a 92-year-old published author and public speaker specializing in the study of joy, said this: “Research suggests money may make us about 10 percent happier – but volunteering? That can boost happiness by as much as 40 percent. That’s quite a return on investment!”

At the end of the day, volunteering isn’t just about helping others. It’s about belonging. It’s about looking around at the place we call home and doing our little part to make it brighter, kinder, and stronger. And sometimes, the smallest helping hand can make the biggest difference.
