Our Okanagan Multi-Faith Visits will resume in 2026 on Saturday, January 10, with a visit to Central Okanagan United Church. December’s presentation, graciously hosted by the Kelowna Jewish Community, was both deeply informative and wonderfully nourishing—complete with the sharing of many traditional Jewish delights.
In times that call for greater compassion and understanding, these gatherings offer a meaningful way to stand together—learning from one another and embodying unity in action.
The Okanagan Multi-Faith Community was born out of the deep respect, trust, and genuine friendships formed through our work together on the KGH Spiritual Advisory Team. As we witnessed increasing polarization, racism, and division in the wider world, we felt a shared calling to stand together publicly as Communities of Faith—modelling unity, understanding, respect, and compassion.
As a trans-denominational teaching and philosophy, Religious Science holds a natural affinity for this work. Ernest Holmes so beautifully articulated the universal spiritual principles found at the heart of the world’s great traditions. In that spirit, we honour all paths to the Divine and embrace the sacred wisdom each tradition offers. These gatherings invite us to see those shared Truths reflected again and again.
We are continually reminded that when we gather in a spirit of openness and curiosity, we discover how much we share across our traditions—and how spiritually enriching it is to learn from one another. These experiences strengthen the fabric of unity and compassion within our Okanagan community and affirm the importance of standing together in these times.
