What’s New at CSL Kelowna 💗 July 29, 2022

Last Sunday, Rev. Melody Bailey gave a wonderful talk titled Are You Being Served, and Tanya Lipscomb returned with her beautiful, uplifting music! If you missed the service, you can watch the replay on our YouTube channel. Tanya closed out the service with a particularly beautiful song. Scroll down to the photo of her below and click on it to hear the song!

This Sunday’s talk:

Holy Roller: The blessings of a broken ankle

— Rev. Barbara Samuel

PATIENT:

Hey, Doc, I think I broke my leg in two places. What should I do?

DOCTOR:

Don’t go to those places anymore!

Virtually every experience in your life – whether it be your relationships, your creativity, career, or overall sense of purpose – is profoundly affected by your health. As the saying goes, “If you have your health, you have everything.”

Join Rev. Barb Samuel, Neal Klassen and our in-person congregation for a Soul Food Sunday, this Sunday, July 31st at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!

If you are not feeling well, please stay at home and watch us on Facebook Live.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

The One and Only

God is all there is. There is nothing that can exist outside of God since there is no outside of God! Which means everything and everyone (no matter the external, dualistic appearance) is intimately and wonderfully demonstrating a relationship with Spirit. This relationship is either discordant or harmonious by our choosing.

God is ever-present as the Presence of All that Is. The Mind that is being used by each individualized incarnation is no less than the One Mind. Our relationship to our thoughts, and our thoughts about the world, are a direct reflection of our relationship with God. This relationship indicates what we are “praying” on any given day.

We change the world by changing the quality of our relationships to the world, which in fact are our relationships to each and all of the ways that God shows up.

“We dance round in a ring and suppose, But the Secret sits in the middle and knows.” — Robert Frost

What a Blessing!

If you weren’t at our service last Sunday, July 24th, with Rev. Melody Bailey’s talk, Are You Being Served, we encourage you to watch!

Tanya Lipscomb provided the music throughout, bringing her lovely, vibrant energy to us all. She closed with a particularly beautiful song called: What a Blessing to Be Here With You. Click on her photo below to see and hear her perform the song on our YouTube channel.

MIND-FULL MOMENT

The only God man knows is the God of his own Inner Life; he can know no other. To assume that man can know a God outside himself is to assume that he can know something of which he cannot be conscious.
