What’s New at CSL Kelowna 💗 August 26, 2022

It was a vibrant, emotional and moving service this past Sunday with Rev. Corinne Crockett’s talk, Life Uncommon. See below for photos and more details. The Conscious Givers’ BBQ is tonight (Friday), and this weekend is a Soul Food Sunday! We hope to see you at Studio 9 or online!

This Sunday’s talk:

Receive, Harvest, Share the Bounty

— Rev. Barbara Samuel and Neal Klassen

“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”

— Robert Louis Stevenson

To move ahead and shift to your next level of consciousness, you may need to let go of your old ways and grow a new idea in favour of something better.

Join Rev. Barb Samuel, Neal Klassen, and our in-person congregation this Sunday, August 28 at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!

If you are not feeling well, please stay at home and watch us on Facebook Live.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

Naturally Divine

We believe and teach there is that within us which partakes of the nature of the Divine Being; thus, we are also Divine.

This is an inherent quality in all of us, but is not always acknowledged, felt or consciously realized. As humans, we must consciously engage in a spiritual practice of knowledge and truth seeking, and consciously practice it in our lives.

As Religious Scientists, we believe that there is One Power and Presence, therefore the individual personality is determined by what we believe about ourselves. We can know what we believe about ourselves based on our vibrational energy and who we attract into our experience. Like attracts like, meaning two entities vibrating at the same frequencies are pulled toward each other.

If we believe we are safe, we are open to exploring new things. The same holds true as we look at beliefs about ourselves and others. When an individual’s basic needs are met, s/he is open to exploring new possibilities.

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”

— Mahatma Gandhi

Highlights from Life Uncommon

If you didn’t catch the talk by Rev. Corinne Crockett last Sunday, titled Life Uncommon, you can watch the replay on YouTube!

This talk was intense, passionate, and well worth watching over again!

The music at this service was very emotional and moving, too. Rev. Barb and Neal sang Bridge Over Troubled Water (Simon & Garfunkel).

Rev. Gwen Smith sang Life Uncommon (Jewel).

Conscious Givers’ BBQ is Today!
