What’s New at CSL Kelowna 💗 August 12, 2022

Writer: CSL KelownaCSL Kelowna

Last weekend, Drs. Deborah and Kenn Gordon gave us a question/answer-style talk titled Everything you want to know about Science of Mind (but were afraid to ask), while Kim and Jim Rhindress provided us with soulful music! This Sunday, we welcome back our music director, Rev. Barb Samuel, along with her husband and music co-director, Neal Klassen!

This Sunday’s talk:

This Magic Moment

— Neal Klassen

“Mental Science is not a "get-rich-quick scheme", neither does it promise something for nothing. It does, however, promise those who follow its teaching shall enjoy greater possibilities and happier conditions.”

— Ernest Holmes

Manifestation or magic? Cosmic or coincidence? Neal Klassen explores some famous “Magic Moments” that were, upon closer examination, perhaps not magic at all. Are you ready to bring a little magic into your life?

Join Neal and our in-person congregation this Sunday, August 14th at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!

If you are not feeling well, please stay at home and watch us on Facebook Live.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

The Water of Life

Earth is called the blue planet because of the large surface area that is covered by water. Our oceans, seas, lakes and rivers provide food, oxygen, climate regulation, recreation, the ability to travel from one land mass to another, and even medicine.

Our planet is covered by water and from outer space can be seen as a beautiful blue planet. From roaring waterfalls and crashing waves to gentle rain and billowing clouds, water pervades our planet’s majestic biosphere. It is easy to take for granted. We often forget the value of this precious resource, as we go about our daily lives.

Every one of us can experience the wonder of water every day, by bringing mindfulness to daily activities, like drinking a glass of water, bathing, appreciating the rain that nourishes plants and cleans the air or enjoying the rivers, lakes and beaches that provide nourishment, homes and safety for wildlife. We have many opportunities to invite sacred communion with the Divine, through the medium of water.

Let us be custodians and guardians of the lakes, rivers, and oceans for all life on planet Earth. Let us immerse ourselves in the flow of the river of life, where the water flows pure and crystal clear.

“You didn’t come into this world. You came out of it, like a wave from the ocean. You are not a stranger here.” — Alan Watts

Questions, Answers, and Beautiful Songs

If you weren’t at our service on August 7 with the question-and-answer talk by Drs. Deborah and Kenn Gordon, titled Everything you want to know about Science of Mind (but were afraid to ask), please watch it on YouTube!

Jim and Kim Rhindress provided the soulful music, including the song, Maritimer's Lament, from their new album! It's the first song they ever wrote together.

MIND-FULL MOMENT

When we contemplate the whole globe as one great dewdrop, striped and dotted with continents and islands, flying through space with other stars all singing and shining together as one, the whole universe appears as an infinite storm of beauty.

At present, it is very important to solve these health problems related to fatigue or insomnia. I have some experience in this field and I was stressed, so my friend once suggested that I try to buy products from this source torch diamond thc-o where it is easy to find treatments. I think you can learn more about it and try these products to avoid your problems.
