What is Ours to Do?

What is Ours to Do?

— Dr. Kenn Gordon

The price of doing the same old thing is far higher than the price of change.

Bill Clinton

We have two options: stay behind and atrophy, or step on in and grow. This is not just about this time of COVID, it is about life itself.

Join Dr. Kenn Gordon and the rest of the Sunday Six on May 2, 2021 at 10:30am on Facebook Live.

The SOM theme for May is “Wholly Holy Uprising”. As a leading-edge spiritual organization, we have a teaching and tools to take humanity into a new paradigm of consciousness. We are invited to “rise up” and demonstrate this in our lives, our Centres, our communities, and in the world!

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

This Adventure Called Life

Where are we taking holy risks to evolve? How often are we letting our Spiritual Magnificence be our experience?

The Latin root of the word ‘adventure’ is advenire, which means ‘to arrive’. This fits perfectly with leading-edge science and Ernest Holmes’ 1950s radio show titled Self-Reliance and Your Adventure, wherein he proclaims: “God is our adventure.” This journey involves an expanded awareness that in life there is no risk, no failure, no uncertainty. With an awareness of Oneness, faith, and our active participation, the spiritual adventure unfolds through The Divine Urge that is inherently and eternally calling us into our greater yet-to-be!

If there’s only one thing happening, one creative intelligent source and substance found in everything, then we are wholly holy, because it comes into form by means of us!

So, what is there to fear? Where’s the risk? Science shows that the universe responds to how we think and feel. We often hold back from new experiences because we fear failure; but the biggest risk (if there is one at all) is in not opening to our infinite possibilities.

The universe has been creatively and intelligently ever-evolving into a greater expression. The process is one of human alignment, receptivity, and participation.

Every day we have opportunities to find the Divine in a new way. Say “Yes!” to every holy opportunity!

Community Plans and Leadership

After Dr. Kenn retired, over a period of many months, the Board of Trustees worked on a Strategic Community Plan to recreate CSLK’s leadership structure. With the pandemic and a shift to weekly online services, leadership needs continued to evolve over the past year.

Last month, the Board made some major headway on these plans. We’re very excited about the potential of a new leadership role to expand CSLK’s possibilities!

Read more details in Dr. Deborah Gordon’s most recent Happy Monday blog post (April 26).
