Unlearning Fear of Darkness
— Rev. Corinne Crockett
I release fear of the dark and open to new perspectives.
Humans have a tendency to fear the unknown and that which we don’t understand. We label, dominate, control, and cast negativity on these spaces as dark and ominous. The Divine Mother principle embodies fertility and creativity in the darkness, and gives birth from the darkness into the light in partnership with both.
Join Rev. Corinne this Sunday, May 14 at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!
If you are not feeling well, please take good care of yourself and watch us on Facebook Live.
This Week’s Science of Mind Theme
Unlearning Fear of Darkness
We’ve been generally taught to fear instead of embrace the darkness. The darkness is the fertile space of creation, creativity, and the womb. The darkness gives birth to the light. What if we partnered with the dark instead of fearing, controlling, or labelling it?
Humans are thrill seekers who thrive off fear and being scared. There’s a huge market for it in scary movies and novels, and amusement rides. In subtle and blatant ways we objectify the dark and prioritize the light. We perpetuate fear of the dark, instead of teaching the beauty of both the light and the dark in partnership.
To be truly inclusive, we must embrace it all – the light and the dark alike. By unlearning our collective fear of the dark, we invite healing and balance with light and darkness.

Happy Mother's Day to You All!
A message from Rev. Corinne Crockett
Mother’s Day celebrates the Sacred Feminine, an energy that’s not reserved for women alone. All of life enters into existence through the portal of the feminine, therefore we all have relationship to it.
The Sacred Feminine is the energy innate in all of us and in the universe that serves life itself. The Sacred Feminine carries the qualities of unconditional love, compassion, wisdom, beauty, gentleness, patience, acceptance, forgiveness, nurturance, welcome, kindness, intuition and healing.
In the old-world order, these qualities used to be viewed as weakness; but in reality, these qualities hold great power indeed and are so needed in today’s world. Society is evolving and the extremes of the gender roles are not as prevalent as they once were. As the extremes are settling into balance, there is an evolution of consciousness.
The Universal Feminine, the Holy Womb of Nature, the Soul of the Universe!
Dr. Ernest Holmes, founder of Science of Mind wrote:
“The Feminine Principle is the Universal Womb of Nature because, as an omnipresent principle operating through all living things, it knows how to unconditionally nurture and grow to fruition whatever falls into its embrace.”
This is unconditional love.
I feel and see these qualities of the Divine Feminine in so many people from our Centre. Together, we are an important and powerful womb of creation.
We look forward to celebrating the Divine Feminine in all its forms with you this Sunday!

We have such a wonderful time; you’ll want to be part of the event.
