Sunday, July 7

What if you’ve been doing it right all along?

Rev. John DePalma

How often do we get frustrated because things haven’t turned out like we want?

As desire rises in our human nature, we dream goals, resolutions, expectations and make plans, and commitments “to get it done.” That’s a natural consequence of the creative process. “Good, better, best, never let it rest. When the good becomes the better, the better becomes the best!”

Phew that can be exhausting! But that isn’t really where the ship hits the sand. The challenge is our attachment to what shows up as a consequence of those dreams, goals resolutions and expectations! Either we harshly judge ourselves and/or buy into the judgment of others for falling short of achieving “perfection”.

There is another way to look at this. Maybe you’ve been doing it right all along. Join us this Sunday as we explore what’s behind this “constant craving” for perfection.
