The Wise Warrior
— Rev. Melody Bailey
Affirmation
I stand in the Power and Wholeness of Spirit that I am.
The wise warrior is focused and does not get ensnared by smallness. They are going for greatness. Like the well-trained martial artist, when the wise warrior walks into the bar of life, no one picks a fight with them. Their presence is enough.
Join Rev. Melody this Sunday, July 23 at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!
If you are not feeling well, please take good care of yourself and watch us on Facebook Live.
This Week’s Science of Mind Theme
The Wise Warrior
The Greek philosopher Plotinus said, “I do not argue, I contemplate, and as I contemplate, I let fall the seeds of thought into the mirror of mind, which then becomes the mirror of matter.”
We all can perceive many things that need to change in the world. But “out there” is always a reflection of “in here” whether individually or collectively. As we change how we see the world, we will change the world.
When we commit to seeing things differently, we can create differently. We are invited to see the intrinsic worth of every person we encounter. This, alone, shifts our interpersonal relationships. And the world is made of relationships. Every change starts small and grows.
When we stand as “wise warriors” – practitioners of Truth – we align with and become the Infinite Power of Good. We must BE that power of love, harmony, unity.
This world is interconnected in form. We have tools of change – principles, practices, and methods – which equip us to be mighty warriors.
The Marley Effect
Last weekend, Neal Klassen gave a talk titled The Marley Effect: How Change Happens (or not).
We had guest musician, Nathen Aswell, visiting from Vancouver. Nathen is a singer and songwriter who plays the Chapman Stick, a 12-stringed electronic instrument that is tapped with both hands like a piano.
Neal Klassen and Rev. Barbara Samuel played some music with Nathen before the service began.
Rev. Barb led an affirmative prayer before the service…
… and those present held the space from the back of the auditorium.
Neal, Nathen and Rev. Barb sang Woke Up this Morning with My Mind Stayed on Spirit.
Rev. Barb talked about how she was first introduced to Science of Mind through her best friend, Enid.
Neal, Nathen and Rev. Barb sang We Come Together by Eddie Watkins Jr.
Nathen sang The Making of a Soul.
He also sang a song that is his interpretation of the Ho'oponopono prayer.
After service, volunteer Cassie brought in the coffee and treats.
People stayed for a chat and some social time.
Watch the full service on YouTube.
