It’s a new year and a new start for us in so many ways. Our community is who we are, and this weekly blog post will be focussing on this more in the coming weeks and months. To reflect this focus, we’ve changed the name of this weekly blog to “Our Community”. We will also be publishing it earlier on a Thursday evening! Any thoughts or feedback on what you would like to see here can be emailed to the editor, Annie Zed.
Talk for this Sunday, January 8
The Universal Voice

— Rev. Karin Wilson
As God is, I am, we are.
Around the globe there is one song playing – the song of Life itself. Begin your day recognizing your connection to this One Life, One Love, and through this hear yourself through the divine voices of all those around you.
This will be our interim minister, Rev. Karin Wilson's first full talk at our CSL Kelowna Studio 9 location.
Join Rev. Karin this Sunday, January 8 at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!
If you are not feeling well, please stay at home and watch us on Facebook Live.
This Week’s Science of Mind Theme
The Universal Voice
Holmes spoke very clearly that as I am, so we all are. Our goal is to realize not only our own individual power, but to see and work in concert with that same Power that exists in and through all souls we meet.
Our teaching tells us to not only live in conscious awareness of the Law of Cause and Effect (as we think, so we experience), but also in alignment with that pre-eminent truth that all is Love.
We know that the Love that is Spirit is always for our good. Rather than place human-imagined limits on that good, we accept with faith that there is a bigger idea in the “I AM” and prepare ourselves to receive that good in the best form for us. Additionally, we act and respond in kind from that place of Love – that place of a greater idea.
The Universal Voice calls to all of us equally. It resides in and as who we are. We cannot help but experience It, when we open our minds and hearts to It. And as we do that, we begin to recognize that the same is true of all those around us. As it is of me, so it is of we. Our goal then is to see the world as one expression of the Divine, like a moving, living, breathing, kaleidoscope of colour, all connected to the one single Source.

Releasing Into the New
Our community says farewell to our founders, Drs. Deborah and Kenn Gordon, as they retired after 30 years of spiritual leadership at CSL Kelowna. If you missed the service last Sunday, January 1st, titled Releasing Into the New, you can watch it now on YouTube.
Tanya Lipscomb provided the music, including Messenger of Love.
Dr. Kenn Gordon gave the affirmative prayer treatment.

There was an exercise where we were guided to release the past by writing on slips of dissolving paper and placing them into the fountain.

Rev. Karin Wilson had the opportunity to speak to our congregation for the first time as our new interim minister.

The ministers and Board of Trustees were invited onto the stage.

The congregation formed a circle and sang Let There Be Peace on Earth.
They then formed a double line through which the Gordons made their departure.
Watch the full service on YouTube.

MIND-FULL MOMENT
“The great Love of the Universe must be One with the great law of Its Own Being, and we approach Love through the Law. This, then, is the teaching: Love and Law. As the love of God is perfect, so the law of God also is perfect. We must understand both.”
