What's Happening This Week at CSL Kelowna
"There is nothing dogmatic about Religious Science. You can add the
Science of Mind to your own religion, whatever form it may take, and
find it to be effective. Principles are no respecters of persons, and
heaven has no favorites.”
- Rev. Dr. Ernest Holmes!

A MESSAGE FROM REVEREND CORINNE CROCKETT
Hello All,
Spirit always delivers the imprint of our conscious intentions!
I’m impressed and invigorated from attending the annual business meeting of our greater organization, Centers for Spiritual Living today. As a Centre within CSL, we are one of 391 affiliated communities and 246 Spiritual Centers around the world who teach and live the teaching of Science of Mind. We do not stand alone, but are part of something big and wonderful.
The metaphysical saying of “as above, so below” certainly was apparent to me throughout this meeting. CSL ‘Mothership’ (as I call them) are doing intelligent and good work, as are we. They are Spirit and Vision-led, conducting business in adherence to Spiritual Principle, as are we. They’re redefining the meaning of shared leadership, as are we. There are no mistakes in Spirit.
As we enter very exciting times, with very exciting news to share with you, I’m drawn to pause and reflect on the amazing work that’s been done throughout our community in the past year and to realize who we’ve become and are growing into. We are a strong, loving, cohesive Spiritual Community, firmly rooted in Spiritual Principle, and we are growing and thriving.
We have important news to share; grab your calendars.
TWO IMPORTANT DATES: February 25 & March 3, 2024
February 25: CSL Kelowna's Annual General Meeting
First, we’re looking forward to our Annual General Meeting this Sunday, February 25th following Sunday Service at Studio 9 – 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, where we’ll be sharing the business of the Centre with everyone and welcoming in new members for our Board of Trustees.
Lunch will be provided; please RSVP your plan to attend on our website so we know how much food to prepare.
March 3: Important Announcement Regarding our Centre's Future
And then, a big announcement in our search for a New Senior Minister!
Plan to spend the day with us on Sunday, March 3rd, for Sunday Service, Lunch & a Workshop.
Spirit always delivers according to the mental equivalent or desire we create.
Our Sacred Covenant calls for a Visionary Leader, Teacher and Healer.
After many months of dedicated work in the background, the New Minister Selection Committee and the Board of Trustees are pleased to announce that Rev. John DePalma from Seattle, WA, will be joining us the weekend of March 1 - 3 as a candidate for the position of Senior Minister.
Rev. DePalma has over two decades of service as a Minister within our CSL organization. As well as serving in many other capacities, he has a strong background in transitioning CSL Centres and creating thriving, sustainable communities.
We are delighted he will be delivering the Sunday talk followed by a luncheon and workshop on March 3rd. His talk is titled: "Seize the Day"
Rev. John will be offering a workshop at 1:00 pm following Sunday Service Workshop titled: "I Don't Know How But Spirit Does"
Please join us for lunch after service to chat with Rev. John and his lovely wife, Rev. Cath. There will also be an opportunity to connect after the workshop. Again, please RSVP your plan to attend the luncheon on March 3rd so we can plan food quantities:
It will be a full and busy weekend, as Rev. John will be meeting with leadership March 1st and 2nd prior to Sunday’s events.
This is your opportunity to participate in the selection of our New Senior Minister. Your voice matters to the future of our beloved Centre, and we need you.
These are exciting times here at our Centre!
The New Minister Selection Committee has done an amazing job!
In Gratitude
Rev. Corinne
Discomfort is the Least of our Concerns
Sunday, February 28: It's a Soul Food Sunday
with Rev. Barbara Samuel
“Step so far outside your comfort zone that you forget how to get back.”
-Anonymous
Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey? Are you willing to embrace discomfort and unlock your full potential?
The choice is yours. Step outside your comfort zone, embrace the discomfort, and unleash the extraordinary person within you.
Embrace the discomfort today, and watch as your life takes on new dimensions of growth, achievement, and fulfillment.
See you Sunday!
Religious Science is the outcome of what has gone before and, we
believe, a forerunner of what is to come.
Religious Science is not a personal opinion nor is it a special revelation.
It is a result of the best thought of the ages.
It borrows much of its light from others, but in so doing robs no one, for Truth is Universal.
Ernest Holmes
