A message from CSLK's assistant minister, Rev. Corinne Crockett

Hello Precious Community!

Our hearts continue to be with everyone impacted by the fires in our area.

Our deepest gratitude to the brave and courageous firefighters and first responders who have worked untold hours to keep us safe. Thank you does not come close to expressing our gratitude to you and your families for the sacrifices you are making on our behalf. Please know we hold you all in prayer.

I wanted to let you know I’ve reached out to many, many members of our community to check in on their wellbeing. While some were still on evacuation order or alert when we chatted, everyone was safe and doing well. It was a balm to my soul hearing everyone’s voice.

I’m so heartened in hearing so many of you are using the power of prayer to uplift and care for all. The love and care of people moves me at depth. I know our prayers are making a positive difference.

As I wrote in Happy Monday, remember to be gentle, patient, and kind with yourselves and one another. Taking time for self-care during such times is important. While staying tuned to news about recent events is important to be informed, give yourself the gift of stepping away for a bit, doing something you enjoy and feels normal. This allows your mind and body to rest.

This coming Sunday is a Soul Food Sunday, and I know Rev. Barb and Neal will be a healing presence. We hope to be back online with our Facebook Live for next Sunday’s service.

Please know you are loved. If you need support, please do not hesitate to call me at 250-868-9090. CSL Kelowna is here to support you!

Love and blessings,

Rev. Corinne

The Universe Does Not Make Mistakes

— Rev. Barbara Samuel and Neal Klassen

“Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart give yourself to it.”

— Buddha

We are all here by Divine appointment to add to the expansion of the world.

Our passion inspires our purpose and as we align ourselves with that inner feeling, we transform it to the next level, sharing it outwardly. The time has come to confidently embrace our purpose and step fully into our co-created new expression!

Join Rev. Barb and Neal this Sunday, August 27 at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!

If you are not feeling well, please take good care of yourself and watch us on Facebook Live.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

Passionately Living Your Purpose Out Loud!

We are the perfect co-creators with Spirit in order to accentuate our unique passion and purpose. It is indeed our Spirit-infused responsibility to share our gifts authentically.

We are co-creators in this realm. We are not here to blindly stumble through the journey, but to deliberately create a “painting” that may inspire and positively impact others. We have chosen to step into this time/space reality and give form to potential.

Guided by our passions, we have an inner compass that knows what to do and when to do it. Our essential self shouts “Yes!” as we align with the direction it is pointing us to.

The CSLK Service Last Sunday

Despite the fires, CSLK leadership made a bold decision to gather last Sunday, "because we need to be together in a time like this." We weren't able to livestream, but here are a couple of photos and words to give you a sense of what it was like for those that were able to attend.

Rev. Corinne Crockett stepped in for Rev. Jeanette Vinek, who was not able to be there. We were blessed to have 27 people safely able to attend. Rev. Barbara Samuel and Neal Klassen provided beautifully uplifting and music that was very relevant to how we were all feeling. Rev. Melody Bailey presided.

When Rev. Barb and Neal sang "Hallelujah", they invited singer Christine Payton to join them on the stage. Christine was also moved to then sing “Anyway” by Martina McBride, which Rev. Corinne felt was "perfect and amazing." See the lyrics.

MIND-FULL MOMENT

There is nothing from which to make things except ideas. In the beginning, we behold nothing visible; there is only an Infinite Possibility, a Limitless Imagination a Consciousness.”
