This Week’s Science of Mind Theme
Wonder, Wonder Everywhere
Wonder is everywhere present just waiting for us to awaken to It. It is in the car we drive, the home we live in, the neighbour’s dog, the traffic light, and the people we meet. We encounter wonders every minute of every day. We live in a Wonderland that invites us to marvel at and experience Its magnificence and Its Love.
Wonder is everywhere around us, in us, as us. There is awe-inspiring beauty everywhere! All of it is God in full glorious expression!
Wonder reveals our Oneness, our interconnectedness, our interdependence. Everything began as a Divine Idea, and form is an expression of Consciousness. Notice the interconnectedness of it all. The creativity. The Beauty. The Perfection. It is evident in the ancient Sanskrit truth: Tat tvam asi, “I am that”. It is the African philosophy: Ubuntu, “I am because you are”. It is the Mayan precept: In La’Kech, “You are my other me”. Guru Nanak, founder of the Sikh tradition, calls us to “see no stranger”.
The Universe is abundant and resplendent. There are no limits to the magnificence of the wonder Spirit has created. Each person, each flower, each stone, each animal, each drop of water is a necessary and glorious part of the Whole that is the Divine. The more we orient ourselves to the wonders we encounter daily, and the more we appreciate them as parts of ourselves (or parts of ourselves we don’t yet know), the greater our capacity to love and to experience joy.
