Just Say Yes

Just Say Yes

— Neal Klassen

The Law takes us at our own valuation; if we say ‘Yes’, It says ‘Yes’; and if we say ‘No’, It says ‘No’; for It can only reflect.

— Ernest Holmes

At the close of almost every Sunday Service, Barbara Samuel and Neal Klassen sing Just say Yes. Have you ever wondered why they don’t sing “Don’t say No?”

The word “yes” is affirmative, and it simply means that you are stating something is so.

Science of Mind is the teaching of Involution and Evolution, the thought involved and the result evolved through affirmative prayer.

Join us this Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 10:30am on Facebook Live for Neal Klassen's talk on this topic.

This week’s point of view from the Science of Mind

What we deeply believe and what we claim for ourselves, for our communities, and for the world, has impact. We are part of bringing form into being. We are co-creators and that is a tremendous gift and a tremendous responsibility. When we align with Spirit, we can bring true healing and transformation to bear in the world. We can build inclusive communities, regions and countries.

We most deeply understand and experience Spirit and Oneness when we celebrate and understand that we are diverse. It is through building inclusive relationships and inclusive frameworks that we reveal Oneness in the world.

Our community covenant for inclusion and love does not mean that we will never struggle with inclusion or diversity as individuals or a community. We may fight. We have a lot to learn together. We are human and we are messy sometimes. But our affirmations (below) can be a North Star to us as well, giving us a path back to ourselves and to each other so we can live into the one stupendous whole that Dr. Holmes spoke about.

  • We are a community that celebrates diversity, fosters inclusion, champions inner work, and creates space for brave vulnerable conversations.

  • We are a community that honours the unique emanation of God that each person embodies, and advocates with people for human rights and dignity for all.

  • We are a community that blesses each other, sees holiness in all life, remains learners and listeners so that we can grow together, and understands that Oneness is not Sameness, and we know that the Beloved Community is revealed when we love each other well.
