Intentions 2021

Dr. Deborah Gordon

All we need do is look at nature to reassure ourselves that there is a creative power at work and that the entire physical universe proceeds from an Invisible Source. It is evident that the Creative Principle/God can express Itself only in terms of the instrument through which It flows. Our instruments (our minds) include our faith, belief, acceptance and mental equivalents — our understanding of the meaning of the words that we use.

— Ernest Holmes

It’s our traditional New Year’s Day service and we will be setting our intentions for the coming year. Make sure you have pen and paper handy for your personal insights.

Join Dr. Deborah Gordon and the rest of the Sunday Six on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 10:30am on Facebook Live.

Immediately after the service, please join us via video in a Facebook room that will open at 11:15am from our CSLK Facebook group. We’ll have a community chat to share and witness our intentions gleaned during the service. You must be a Facebook group member to join in the room, so if you’re not already a member, please click on the blue JOIN button in advance at https://www.facebook.com/groups/CSLKelowna.

This Year’s Science of Mind Theme

Timeless Wisdom, Evolutionary Vision

The fundamental principles of Science of Mind are ageless and cross many spiritual traditions. We are tapping into the Infinite Eternal, which is God. We have the opportunity to evolve and expand our vision; to continually grow into something newer and bigger.

Timeless Wisdom

We believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute and self-existent Cause. This One manifests itself in and through all creation. The manifested universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God.

We believe in the incarnation of the Spirit in everyone and that all people are incarnations of the One Spirit.

We believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding.

Evolutionary Vision

We see a world in which every person lives in alignment with his/her highest spiritual principle, emphasizing unity with God and connection with each other; a world in which individually and collectively we are called to a higher state of consciousness and action.

We envision a world in which we live and grow as One Global Family that respects and honours the interconnectedness of all life; a world where this kinship with all life prospers and connects through the guidance of spiritual wisdom and experience.

We envision a world where personal responsibility joins with social conscience in every area of the political, corporate, academic, and social sectors, providing sustainable structures to further the emerging global consciousness.
