Happy Monday, everyone.
It was great to see many of you on Sunday at Studio 9. It's always such a privilege to share my thoughts with a room full of people I love.
My talk focused on the idea of creating the life we want to experience. Taking centre stage, so to speak. It was such a compelling idea to explore, as we are in the middle of transition here at our beloved Centre. We are pulling together the pieces to call in our next spiritual leader(s). What do we want to create? How do we want to show up in the world? What is our purpose? We have this amazing opportunity right now to create our own story, or as I shared on Sunday, our own film.
We were honoured and blessed to have Rev. Karin Wilson join our team as an interim minister back in January. The purpose of this role was to guide us through the initial phases of transition; to get us to a place where we are ready to call in our next spiritual leader(s). It has been pleasure to work with Rev. Karin. Her clarity, wisdom, and honest counsel has been invaluable to the leadership team at the Centre.
Rev. Karin has been away on leave this month to focus her attention on her family after the transition of her mother. Our leadership team has loved and supported Rev. Karin through this time, and have come to the realization we are ready to step into the next steps of transition: the formal process of calling in our new spiritual leader(s). What this means is that Rev. Karin's time in our community, serving as our interim minister, is now complete.
Rev. Karin asked me to share these words with you:
"In working with the leadership team while I've been taking this leave of absence, the leadership has shared with me that it feels the community is ready to proceed with the next stage – taking the formal steps to finding its right new senior minister.
"I want you all to know what an honour it has been to work with this community. I have got to know several of you through classes, book study, our Connection time on Thursdays, as well as in person on Sundays. What I've seen is great heart and love for this teaching, support for each other and willingness to be vulnerable in the stretch to grow closer to Spirit.
"Stay curious, stay strong, and remember that this Centre is your centre, and your place to show up as Spirit leads you.
"Much love and deep blessings to you all. It's been an unforgettable and transformative six months.
"Peace and blessings, Rev. Karin."
Our community and leadership team is indeed ready for whatever is next. As we've been saying clearly and consistently over the past six months, "We've got this!" As the president of our Board of Trustees, I encourage you to keep your eyes and ears open for the invitation to participate in the process. We want your input and we need your input. Your voice matters. We're excited to be on this journey with you.
My talk title on Sunday was Lights, Camera, Action!
Consider this your invitation. Let's step onto Centre stage.
We've got this!
Much love and many blessings,
Rev. Jeanette
