This date marks the 1st anniversary to the day of our last church service together at the Royal Anne Hotel. What a difference a year makes! I’m very curious about what could be possible in the next year.
As the Senior Minister of a Centre for Spiritual Living with a long history – it’s been 28 years since Kenn and I founded what was then known as the Kelowna Centre for Positive Living. I’m encouraging myself to stay open to our new possibilities and being as wary as I can to not fall into the mindset of going back to the way it always was, in spite of my personal inclination to want to do so!
Our founder, Dr. Ernest Holmes said something along the lines of “you can’t go backward; life is always about forward movement, new growth and creativity”. This of course, is a meaningful contemplation for all of us: for ourselves as individuals, and for our Centre as a collective.
And wouldn’t you know, it’s all especially timely, as we move closer to the equinox and to the renewal of our world: Spring. So I’m asking myself (and each of you):
“What would you love for your spiritual community? What needs to be fostered? What needs to be released?”

I invite you to come to our Annual General Meeting next Sunday, March 21st at 2pm on Zoom to hear about our year in review. Your attendance matters, as we’re required to establish a quorum and we can’t do that without you!!!
All extraordinary things considered, our Centre and our leadership have successfully managed the pivot to online livestream services in order to continue to serve our community on a weekly basis. We’ve managed to do it all with a positive bottom line on our financial statements as well. Yay! Thank you to all of us!
