Sundaes on a Sunday… Yay!!!
These are exciting times as we begin the formal process of calling in our new Senior Minister. Last week, we sent out a call to those who may be interested in serving on our New Minister Selection Committee. Please contact me if you have any questions or might be interested. I would love to have a chat with you.
This coming Sunday, July 9, we're serving sundaes after service. Come join us at Studio 9 for Sunday service at 10:30am. Stick around after service and enjoy a sundae service with all the fixins! I'll answer any questions you might have about the New Minister Selection Committee, and will share our next steps in the transition process. Exciting times are afoot! I can't wait to share them with all of you.
There are many opportunities for you to be involved in the process of creating our community vision, community profile, as well as the co-creation process. This is important work, and we need your voice. These pieces help us identify who we are and what qualities we want to attract in our new Senior Minister.
We want you to participate… actually, we need you to participate. In light of this, we thought we would give you lots of notice, followed by lots of reminders!
These are the important dates the Board of Trustees would like you to hold in your calendar.
Sunday, August 6 after service, we are holding a Community Visioning session. This practice opens us to Spirit's highest idea of the Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided.
Sunday, September 17 after service, we are leading the community in a Fear to Faith process that helps us identify where we are stuck, releases the sticky pieces, and supports us in embracing our new idea. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided.
Thursday, September 28 is a Community Co-Creation session where we again open to Spirit to reveal the qualities we want to attract in our new Senior Minister. It is a sacred process, and I would love you all to experience it. Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn will be leading us through the process. She is a powerful teacher and healer. She is a world-renowned speaker, and actively involved in leadership with our larger organization, Centers for Spiritual Living. Everyone is invited. It will be at Studio 9. I'll ask Rev. Corinne to bring her amazing sheet cake. It's worth coming just for that!!!
Sunday, October 1, Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn will be our speaker at Sunday service where she will be presenting our Sacred Covenant. This Covenant is the result of 3 days of co-creation process, and is a combined and agreed upon statement of the experience we desire in our new Senior Minister. Her talk title is Honour the Mystery and Embrace the Change. I know I can't wait to see what is revealed.
Your Board of Trustees is always available to answer any questions you might have about where we are at in the process, and what is next. Your voice matters, and we encourage all of you to engage in the process every step of the way. This is your spiritual community and spiritual family. You can always connect with me at jeanettef@telus.net, and call or text 250-862-2201 if you have any questions or need more information.
With much love and many blessings,
Rev. Jeanette Vinek
