Happy New Year!!

I share this lovely quote from Marianne Williamson:

"The mind is the womb of a better tomorrow, the incubator for new beginnings and the channel for our spiritual rebirth. Our hearts open, we give birth to the best within us and new possibilities for all of us.”

I love how the special times of the year give us pause to reflect on the good in our lives. This holiday time of Christmas and New Year’s especially lends itself to remembering the joys and the moments of the past year — the lessons learned, the memories, and even the losses help us look toward the future with faith. It’s probably years like this past one that really help us renew our sense of gratitude. No matter what, I feel life is always worth celebrating! I’m so blessed and honoured that you all continue to choose to celebrate and connect with us here at the Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna. As we move into the New Year, I want to give my gratitude to our Leadership: our Board and our Spiritual Leadership, our Ministers and our Practitioners, for their ongoing support of our Centre.

I’m also grateful to each of you — all of you who watch us on Facebook Live and on YouTube; all who attend our in-person services at the Innovation Centre; all who read our blogs and check out our website; and those joining us for our Coffee and Connections, our Community Chats, as well as our events, like our visioning sessions, our town halls, our classes, and even our Special Meeting. You are all simply the BEST!

This year will find us in pivotal times as we search for our next right location and re-invigorate our community as we hopefully come back into being together both in person and online. We’ll also start creating plans for my retirement and our next Spiritual Director.

I am so grateful for each of you. I am knowing for all of us, for our community, and for the world, a year of love and gratitude.

Honouring our Past and Embracing the New in 2022!

Blessings, Dr. Deborah

PS: If you’re looking for something interesting, connecting and informational, I’d love to encourage you, whether you’ve taken lots of classes or have never taken a class, to consider the Foundations of the Science of Mind class being offered. It starts tomorrow (January 4th)!

If you missed yesterday’s service with Dr. Deborah Gordon and Rev. Christy Snow, titled Out with the Old and In with the New, you can watch it (and other past services) on the CSLK YouTube channel.

MIND-FULL MOMENT

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.
