Another Happy Monday is upon us. It’s hard for me to believe it’s already the last Monday of February!
As I mentioned at our Sunday Service yesterday (great talk from Derek Hinchliffe, by the way!), I was so grateful to attend Centers for Spiritual Living’s virtual convention, VISTA, last week. It wasn’t the same as being together with our greater organizational community; but it was still a wonderful way to learn and connect.
Here at the Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna, we’re about to kick off some new community activities to foster that same sense of learning, and maybe most importantly in our world right now, connection. Additionally, if you have ideas, thoughts or suggestions going forward, I would LOVE to hear from you.
We have some great opportunities for connection already happening.
First, of course, is our weekly Sunday Service on Facebook Live.
We have our Coffee and Connection every second Thursday. The next one is March 4th .

On the first and third Sundays of the month, we have a wonderful pre-Sunday Service Meditation on Zoom at 9:45 am. The next one is on March 7. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82423777379 Meeting ID: 824 2377 7379. Passcode: meditation
A new learning and connection opportunity is a brand new CSL accredited class called Spiritual Principles and Practices which I’ll be teaching along with ministerial student, Derek Hinchliffe, RScP. It will run on the five Mondays in March, from 6pm to 8pm. When you register and pay the tuition online, you’ll get the Zoom link info in your registration confirmation email. We’re excited about this class! I’m told by good sources that it’s an excellent class in that it’s great for those new to our teaching; it’s also great for people who have already taken courses and are looking for a refresher or a reminder to get them back into their spiritual practices. Additionally, classes are a wonderful way to make connections with our fellow community members.
I’m hopeful that some of our new, remote friends will join, so we can get to know them better!
Sort of new (and back by popular demand) is our drop-in Grief Support Group. This will start on Wednesday, March 10th at 7pm. It’s facilitated by Pauline Weninger, RScP, a trained hospice grief facilitator, and Rev. Melody Bailey. If you’ve gone through any kind of loss and are looking for support in a safe environment, I encourage you to check it out. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83487752037

Lastly for now, one of our long-time members, Laura Green, is hosting a casual Fellowship time right after the Sunday Service on Zoom. Our plan is to have the first one on February 28th directly after the service (approximately 11:15am) and then have them every two weeks. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82989045903 Meeting ID: 829 8904 5903. Blessings,
Dr. Deborah

MIND-FULL MOMENT
