Belonging and the Beloved Community

Belonging and the Beloved Community

Amanda Pope, RScP

“Love is the only final security in the Universe; love is the greatest healing power in the Universe and the only thing that binds people together in a community of Spirit.

Ernest Holmes

We live in interesting times. Now more than ever, it seems that all we can truly rely on is the power of love. Being together in spiritual community allows us to deepen our grounding in love, to share that love with others, and to create a healing foundation for the world around us.

Join Amanda Pope, RScP, and the rest of the Sunday Six on October 3 at 10:30am on Facebook Live.

Tune in early at 10:20am to hear the music of New Thought musician, Jesse Powers.

The SOM theme for October is “Going Further Together”. An African proverb reminds us that “alone we can go faster, together we can go further.” Together, our community has brought us here. We work in harmony with others to envision a continually expanding world.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

The Divine Community

Dr. Martin Luther King often spoke about the “Beloved Community”, a world in which all people share the wealth of the earth and violations of human decency are not tolerated. We see the future and our current station as an embodiment of this realization for all.

In Divine Community, we honour confidence and courage to release all that no longer supports our journey. In the space where I am me and you are you, there is a beautiful evolution that nudges us forward and pushes us beyond this moment into a new space of being, a more profound expression of the One Loving Source.

Divine Community is about much more than one person entering a physical or digital space, and then another person entering the same area, and so on. Divine Community is an almost alchemical reaction that happens among us that reminds us who and what we are capable of being and becoming. This Divine Community is heavenly, and it exists wherever you are.

The Beloved Community unfolds as a Divine tapestry of truth, light, compassion and love, all woven together with threads of hope, faith and divine intention.

The Divine Community is established upon the rock of love that knows no bounds, but creates an everlasting bond in the heart and soul of humanity. Let this place and this love that we declare be the measure of our faith that is capable of welcoming each other home.

Community Town Hall

We are delighted to create the opportunity for us to get together for a Community Town Hall on Zoom, October 3, 2021 at 1pm (to about 2pm). Dr. Deborah Gordon and Amanda Pope will provide community updates, and then we will have the opportunity to discuss what we value about our community and what we want to create in this new world that is emerging. We’d love for YOU to join us!

MIND-FULL MOMENT

A deep sense of love and belonging is an irreducible need of all people. We are biologically, cognitively, physically, and spiritually wired to love, to be loved, and to belong.
