Ancient Wisdom/New Thought
You create as you think and speak. Prove it!
— Rev. Barbara Samuel
“Be aware. What have you been speaking into existence? What pictures have you been creating in your mind? Have you been seeing and talking about what you don’t want? Or have you been focused on what you do want and what you are inspired to create? The quality of your communication shapes the quality of your life.”
— Niurka
How does one get to the Olympics? By practicing.
How does one demonstrate a principle? By proving it.
How does one live spiritually? By practicing and proving it.

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme
Prove It!
Living requires active participation, application, and practice. At CSL, we practice Religious Science. Science asks that we prove principles. Ernest Holmes titled his work The Science of Mind and named the teaching Religious Science. He intentionally used the word science.
Our life is our laboratory. We can experiment by changing our thoughts, beliefs and behaviours.
In her book, The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity: A Simple Guide to Unlimited Abundance, author Edwene Gaines shares her story of her experiment with the practice of tithing and how tithing her last dollar opened the floodgates changing her life forever. The story is inspirational, but hearing about it or reading it won’t change your life. You can never fully understand the power of this, or any spiritual practice, unless you experiment; try it and prove the principle to yourself. No one can do it for you. You have to prove it.
Science of Mind transforms our lives when we take responsibility for our spiritual growth and we practice!
In See No Stranger, Valarie Kaur writes, “we become what we practice”. A demonstration is the result of embodying something so fully and completely that it takes form.
Our great experiment this year is to discover how approaching Life with awe, wonder, curiosity, and inquisitiveness transforms our experience of It. Oh, the possibilities!
Join the birthday celebration hosted by Centers for Spiritual Living this Saturday, January 25, 2022 from 5pm to 6:30pm MT (4pm to 5:30pm PT). It is free to attend, and there are opportunities to donate to the Archives to support the important work CSL is doing to preserve, protect, and present Science of Mind history and wisdom for the world so it is available forever.
There will be Archives virtual tours and birthday musical blessings from Laura Berman, Barry Ebert, Jami Lula, Park Peters and Eddie Watkins, Jr. There will be a special appearance from our Spiritual Leader, Dr. Edward Viljoen, as well as from practitioners around the world to wish Ernest Holmes a Happy Birthday.
Please RSVP on the Archives website and check out the silent auction items!

MIND-FULL MOMENT
“Find me one thousand people in the world who know what Religious Science is and use it, and live it as it is, and I’ll myself live to see a new world, a new heaven, and a new earth here.”
— Ernest Holmes, Sermon by the Sea, Asilomar 1959
